The Knotty Pine Tourist Lodge, "1/4 mile east of the Lincoln-Mercury Plant", boasted modern cabins with "Showers, radio and heat" in every unit. It was constructed in the 1930's at Route 66 and Taylor Road. The little motel managed to hang on into the 1960's. The Apache Village RV and camper dealership occupies the site today.
