Isaac and Michael Katz operated a chain of drug stores in St Louis and Kansas City. This location at 411 N. Kirkwood Road burned spectacularly in the 1970's. Katz stores were later sold to Skagg's, which became Osco and then CVS. Many of the St Louis locations, including this one, were taken over by Walgreen's.
