The Rose Lawn Motel was constructed in 1955 and "built 200 feet off the highway for restful sleeping". The "Ultra Modern" motel offered soft filtered water, tile baths, hot water radiant heat, large rooms and a children's playground. The First Academy Child Care occupies this site at 570 South Highway Drive today.
