The Hilltop Café was operated by Max and Laverta Pracht. There were no tables, just 23 stools at the counter. A T-Bone steak dinner for $1.65 was the most expensive item on the menu. The Hilltop closed almost immediately after I-44 opened in the spring of 1960, and was demolished.
