Looking for more tax revenue, the City of Crestwood declared the 66-Park-In blighted in 1988. The subsequent legal battle went all the way to the Missouri Supreme Court. The site is now a supermarket and Crestwood Commons Shopping Center, an area oversaturated with retail.
