According to Skip Curtis in the Missouri Route 66 Tour Book, Dudley's was constructed in the early 1930's. Mr. Dudley was reported a well known bootlegger. It became the Jam Inn in the 1950's. Curtis says the owner retired in the 1980's, and moved to Las Vegas. It was located about where the White Castle is now, and was torn down for Maritz expansion.
